Enrollment

Ascent enrolls students from both Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island in New York. All placements are made by the student’s school district’s Committee on Special Education (CSE). Interested families should contact their school district and speak with their district representative regarding making application.

How old are the students at Ascent?

Students at Ascent are ages 5 to 21 years. With an enrollment cap of 24 students, there is currently one intermediate-aged classroom, a middle-school classroom, and two secondary-school aged classrooms.
What do I need to apply for the program?

If you are interested in applying to Ascent, please contact your school district representative or case manager and inform them of your interest.
Does Ascent require Tuition?

Ascent does not charge families tuition. As a state-approved private school, the tuition is paid by the student’s home school district.
