Leanne Aurigemma, MS.Ed., BCBA, LBA, SBL/SDL

Leanne Aurigemma started with Ascent in 2001 as a classroom instructor. Always ambitious and looking to improve, Leanne demonstrated leadership characteristics very early on in her career. When a team leader position opened up, Leanne was the obvious choice. Leanne holds a master’s in special education and is a certified special education teacher.  Understanding the trends in the ABA field related to certification, she completed the Stony Brook University behavior analysis certification program and became a BCBA. This is no small accomplishment and doing this with a toddler and a brand-new infant makes it even more remarkable! Leanne has held the position of Team Leader in Team 2 since 2007 and has supported countless students on their journey to independence. Most recently, Leanne completed the Educational Leadership Program at Stony Brook University and is now certified as a School Building and School District Leader. Her dedication to excellence in education and conscientious perseverance has served the program well and will continue to do so as she takes on the role of Administrative Director.  Leanne and her family live in Nassau County.
